Post-Race Comments

Twelve runners on each team, with the usual handicap start, and the North pulled out its second straight victory, but boy was it close! The North edged out the South, 148 to 152!

Mary Luker finished 10th? We love her, but the North is pretty sure this gal made some course-adjustment!!

And what a course it was!! Hope you love tree roots and thin winding trails!!

Time for some Rule Reviews? Two issues that need to be resolved or understood before the next meet:

a) Are you allowed to run the course at an alternative time?
We think that part of competition means handling the presence of competition, as well as the weather at the time of the competition. We should not allow participants to compete at some other time.

b) Are non-club members allowed to compete?
We want to promote our club and sport, but allowing non-members can lead to ill feelings if we want a true team-versus-team competition. Perhaps we need a club-only competition, as well as a non-club competition.
